Whether it is a sensation or an episode of life unfolding in the songs of singer-songwriter Claus Rydskov, the tonal quality is unique and personal. Embracing traditional English and American immediate songwriting as well as the sparse and yearning sounds of his Nordic inheritance.
Debuting in 1994 with the critically acclaimed EP 'Between night and day', the full-time successor 'Dark room white nights', mixed by John Wood (Nick Drake, Louden Wainwright, Nico, John Cale), was released in 2004. 'If this is a man' from 2010 once more included colloboration with John Wood, this time as producer/ engineer, and was mastered by Gavin Lurssen/ Reuben Cohen (Ben Harper, Krauss/ Plant, Ryan Adams, Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash).
Claus Rydskov is currently in the studio working on a new album, which a.o. will feature the song 'Be still my beating heart' (video below). Sign up if you'd like to stay tuned or send us a message for buying a mechanical copy of any release. Thanks for dropping by.
